Bettina worked in Europe for 20 years as an operations manager dealing in various commodities, such as Petroleum and petroleum products, rice, coffee, sugar and trade finance including bilateral trade agreements. In Switzerland she worked for some prestigious companies such as Tradax, a division of Cargill then in London in 1991 for Goldman Sachs after obtaining a degree in Commerce in Lausanne from the Ecole Benedict.

Some of her duties included:

Negotiating credit lines with banks

Opening letters of credit and other various bank instruments

Arranging pre-export financing, barter deals and discounting of drafts

Upon returning to the US, in 1994 she worked as an office manager with Mary Gilliatt, Inc (Interior Designer) then in 1995 became the assistant to the Chief Financial Officer, Travel coordinator and purchasing manager at Salvatore Ferragamo, New York. After that time she created her own company and worked as an independent contractor.
